## What it is and how it works

- SendMeTheDrop (SMTD) is an iPhone app and a website for pop-up and one-off events in London and the rest of the UK.
- Organisers put events, called drops, on a map: supper clubs, club nights, raves, gallery openings, sample sales, product drops, launches, listening parties, run clubs and fan meets.
- Every drop states how you get in: Walk-in, RSVP, Guestlist (the organiser approves you) or Tickets. Walk-in, RSVP and Guestlist are free.
- People get on a drop with one button, "Send me the drop". It RSVPs them, requests a guestlist place, or opens ticket checkout, depending on the drop.
- A sealed drop keeps its exact address back until a time the organiser sets. Before then the map and listings show only the area (for example Hackney). At that time the address is sent to everyone on the drop. Ticketed drops are never sealed: the location is shown before anyone pays.
- The app can alert people when a drop goes on near them.
- Organiser plans (https://www.sendmethedrop.com/pricing): HOST is free and private-link only; it sells tickets and includes the share kit, link tracking and the door, with counts rather than names. CURATOR is £29 a month or £290 a year and adds open links, the map and Events once the organiser is verified, guestlists, attendee names, four team seats, and no booking fee for buyers on the organiser's first £1,000 of ticket sales a month.
- The booking fee is paid by the buyer and shown in the price from the first screen: 30p per paid ticket, plus 5% of the whole price when the ticket costs more than £6. RSVPs and free tickets have no fee. Organisers are paid 48 hours after the event, through Stripe.
- Organisers also get a door link for checking people in that needs no account and works offline, share assets in their own branding, and a way to message everyone who is going.
- SendMeTheDrop does not show who else is going, only counts. Organisers own their followers.
- The iPhone app is free on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/sendmethedrop/id6794729206. There is no Android app yet; the web map at https://www.sendmethedrop.com/app works in any browser.
